Notes

  • S7392 - Estimate for placens for WPE5 is based on detailed studies in E Australia with allowance for less well known part of breeding range in N Australia.
  • T5537 - Numbers increasing at some eastern sites in response to management interventions.
  • S9629 - The subspecies placens not readily identifiable in the field. The subspecies has been separated from S. a. sinensis by del Hoyo & Collar (2014) and an estimate proposed by Mahon et al. (2021).
  • T7918 - In AU, as per Mahon et al (2021), "monitored populations in NSW have declined so steeply in the last three generations (29 years) that there would still have been a substantial decline even if populations in Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania were stable."
