Notes

  • S2106 - 528: 12,000-13,000 breeding pairs (36,000-39,000 individuals) estimated, excluding Eritrea.
  • S8403 - Jennings (2010) increased the estimates Arabia to 8,000 pairs, discovery of 5,900 pairs in ER (Semere et al. 2008) justifies increasing the estimate. Shobrak (2003) accounts for further 4,600-6,400 pairs from EG, SD, DJ and SO, which yields a total estimate of 18,500-60,900 pairs. However, Dodman (2014) suggest increasing the estimate for EG to 3-4 thousands.
  • S8934 - Jennings (2010) increased the estimates Arabia to 8,000 pairs, discovery of 5,900 pairs in ER (Semere et al. 2008) justifies increasing the estimate. Shobrak (2003) accounts for further 2,100-3,900 pairs from SD, DJ and SO. Habib (2017) reports 2,672 nests from EG. This results in a total of 18,672-20,472 pairs.
